General cold rolled steel is the abbreviation for cold rolled sheets made of ordinary carbon structural steel. Since the rolling process takes place at room temperature, no iron scale is produced. As a result, cold rolled sheets offer excellent surface quality and high dimensional accuracy. Moreover, through the annealing treatment, their mechanical properties and processability are superior to those of hot rolled steel sheets. They are widely used in applications such as general flat products, shallow drawing, forming dies, and coating/base materials (e.g., tinplate). Main end products include small household appliances, oil drums, firefighting equipment, hardware products, security doors, metal mesh plates, and office furniture.
